While checking Sam Fisk records I noted a name that sounded familiar Edward David 'Ted' Smout http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Smout . Ted was one of the last living anzacs passing away in 2004. As the records above show Ted and Sam entered WW1 as part of the same section. Sam was Staff Sgt and Ted a Private. If we had known this information many years ago we may had the chance to meet some one who would have had first hand knowledge of Sam in those horrible times.
